Keep your AI conversations private
NICH swaps names, emails, phone numbers and other personal details for placeholders before you send a message to an AI. One right-click puts the real details back into the answer. Nothing ever leaves your browser.

- Nothing leaves your browser

Works in ChatGPT Claude Gemini Perplexity DeepSeek and any other AI assistant in your browser
One click to hide. One right-click to restore.
-
01
Click the NICH button
When you click into a text box, a small black button with a crossed-out eye appears in its corner. Click it and every personal detail in the box becomes a placeholder such as
[NAME 1]or[EMAIL 1]. -
02
Send your message as usual
The AI only sees the placeholders, but the meaning of your text stays intact, so the answer is just as useful. Each detail keeps the same placeholder throughout the message.
-
03
Copy the answer with the details back
Select the answer, right-click and choose Copy Deanonymized. Paste it into your email, document or chat and every placeholder turns back into the original name, date or contact.
Anything that could identify someone or give away sensitive details
Personal details, business details and anything else you would rather not share. NICH combines a language model that understands context, so it finds names it has never seen before, with precise rules for things like email addresses, phone numbers and card numbers.
- Names
- Companies and organisations
- Locations and addresses
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Dates and times
- Amounts of money
- Card numbers
- Website addresses (URLs)
- Your own custom words
Add your own terms, for example a project codename or a client's name, and choose the placeholder they get. Everything is managed from the NICH icon in your toolbar.

Nothing leaves your browser
The detection model runs inside Chrome on your computer. It is downloaded once and then kept in your browser's cache. There is no server, no account, no usage counter and no analytics. Neither we nor anyone else can see your text.
- English onlyfor now. Other languages are on the list.
- Not perfect (yet)The model finds most names and places, but not all. Give the masked text a quick look before you send it.
- First use takes a momentThe first click downloads the model. After that it is quick.
What does NICH replace?
People's names, company names, locations and street addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, dates and times, amounts of money, card numbers and website addresses. You can add your own words too, each with the placeholder you choose.
Does my text ever leave my computer?
No. Detection runs inside your browser. The only thing NICH downloads is the model itself, once, from Hugging Face. There is no server on our side, no account and no tracking, so there is nothing for us to see.
Is it really free?
Yes. There are no limits, no account and no paid tier. If it saves you time, you can support the project with a small donation.
Which websites and languages does it work with?
Any AI assistant that runs in your browser: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, DeepSeek and others. The button appears whenever you click into a text box, so it also works in web mail and other web apps. It understands English text only for now.
Can I choose what gets hidden?
Yes. Click the NICH icon in your toolbar and open Custom Entities to add any word or phrase together with the placeholder you want for it. The same menu lets you view or clear the stored mappings.
